🎬 today we will finish an important series of 3 parts about MODULES AND QUIET YOUR MIND ✨💙 In this third and final part (3/3) I tell you to allow or dismiss the values of your thoughts. Is it valuable for me in this moment? Why am I thinking about this? Why this popped up in my mind and now I’m feeling completely down? I’ve tried to cheer me up, but I keep getting down. I keep frowning. You keep frowning to me, why? Why is that now? Try to understand your thoughts and then decide if it’s valuable to use them as a guide for your reality or not.

Today I want to talk about thoughts and emphasize that… yes! thoughts and feelings are important and we just need to accept them.

Everything that is right and make an impact will survive. History is capable of erasing things that are not useful or not right. Stories will stop from being told, and the ones that were truly important for our society will remain in the textbooks. And life is like this. WE are like this. Things we gave too much importance is now gone.

Some things are more pleasant than others. Some are more understandable, or sometimes things are less comprehensible and therefore more thought-provoking and therefore, they remain in our lives. Unexpectedly, things that are soft and sweet sometimes vanishes and we lose interest, it doesn’t make us think anymore. And we do like to think. To feel.

In some of my talks you may feel like I’m asking you not to think. However, that is definitely not the case. We are humans, we like to think, we like to doubt things, question people. It’s our nature. We use our brain, our minds. This powerful machine that inspire scientists and that we barely know. That’s what we have to do. Know our mind. Know our brain. Know yourself.

We give too much attention to things. Big things or small things.

“Oh… this person talked to me like this”; “ay, this person didn’t treat me well”; “Ay, I tried to do my project and didn’t work, I’m so depressed”; “Oh, I’m so happy to be here with this duck in the lake”; “Ay, this ice cream is so good I want to eat it everyday, can I eat it everyday? how? can I come after work?”;

I’m not saying that this is bad. OR That this is good. I’m just saying that you can access a state in which you watch it from behind and also judge and consider what are the next steps and if you’re going to let these feelings change your reality or change your perception.

Remember that I always say:

1 - FEELINGS AREN’T RELIABLE GUIDES TO REALITY

2 - FEELINGS CAN INFLUENCE YOUR PERCEPTIONS

And that doesn’t mean you can’t feel or think about anything. “Oh no, now I’m going to be a robot and not feel anything. I don’t feel anything anymore.” Well.. You would be DEAD lol… we WANT to feel. We want to think. However, be careful on how much you will allow those feelings and thoughts mould/shape your life.

Remember:

12 - JUST AS YOU ALLOW OR DISMISS

THE SPOKEN THOUGHTS OF YOUR NEIGHBOURS

YOU CAN ALLOW OR DISMISS

THE VALUES OF YOUR THOUGHTS

Allow or dismiss the values of your thoughts.

We are craving only good sensations. We want to avoid pain. But everything is part of our human experience. Yes, you can and you have to choose to let that anger and sadness come into your mind because you have to ponder and discover where it comes from. Take an action to take whatever is making you feel bad away from you. Allow them to come, and let them go.

And how can we do that? Practice. Being mindful and practicing mindfulness meditation. I’ve done so many different ones. The last one was meditating about my first breath. What was happening? Where was I? It was my first breath, when it all started. My life started. I can also think about my last breath. The last time I will exhale. What will I be thinking? Not thinking about regrets or things that I missed, hopefully thinking about all the good opportunities I had in life. That trip. That lover. My parents. My family.

Everything is part of life and you have to accept. Allow them to come. And let them go. Nothing is fixed or permanent, everything is changing all the time.
